ORLANDO, FL – A woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal road rage incident that took place on Colonial Drive on December 2. Orlando police have charged 47-year-old Tina Algeo with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, following an encounter that left a man dead. The incident began after the victim, identified as Tzvetkoff, allegedly tailgated Algeo, leading to a series of confrontations.
According to investigators, the altercation escalated when Algeo exited her vehicle to address Tzvetkoff about his driving. After returning to her car, Tzvetkoff reportedly bumped Algeo’s vehicle, prompting her to get out once more. Tzvetkoff then attempted to drive away, but Algeo pursued him, allegedly ramming his car while trying to read his license plate. This act of aggression resulted in the aggravated battery charge.
The situation took a deadly turn when Tzvetkoff exited his vehicle to inspect the damage. Surveillance footage reportedly shows him reaching into Algeo’s car and striking her. In response, Algeo is accused of pulling out a firearm and shooting Tzvetkoff, resulting in his death. Despite the fatal shooting, Algeo has not been charged with murder. In this case a self-denfese argument is valid.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to piece together the events leading up to the shooting. The incident has sparked discussions about road rage and its potentially deadly consequences.
Local residents have expressed their concerns about the rising number of road rage incidents, emphasizing the need for greater awareness and preventive measures. “It’s alarming how quickly things can escalate,” said one Orlando resident. “We need to find ways to de-escalate conflicts before they get out of hand.”
As the case unfolds, it raises questions about self-defense laws and the circumstances under which individuals choose to use deadly force. Legal experts suggest that the outcome of this case could influence future interpretations of self-defense claims in road rage situations.
Algeo remains in custody as the investigation progresses. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the volatility of road rage and the importance of maintaining composure on the road.
