The 21-year-old woman says she required 20 stitches after an early-morning confrontation outside Jimmy’s Gentlemen’s Club.
CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL— A 21-year-old woman says a female security guard stabbed her outside a Chicago Heights gentlemen’s club early Wednesday after a dispute involving other people moved from inside the business into its parking lot.
The woman, identified by FOX 32 Chicago with the pseudonym Lisa because she said she fears for her safety, said she was treated first at a hospital in Olympia Fields and then transferred to Stroger Hospital in Chicago for additional care. She said the wound required 20 stitches. Chicago Heights officials have declined to release reports or further details, saying the incident remains under active investigation.
The alleged confrontation happened around 1 a.m. outside Jimmy’s Gentlemen’s Club at 410 W. Lincoln Highway. The club’s website confirms the Chicago Heights address and says the business operates nightly. According to Lisa’s account, an argument began inside the club among other people before the dispute eventually spilled into the parking lot, where members of her group encountered security personnel.
Lisa said she was not involved in the original argument. She alleged that a woman she believed was working security repeatedly tried to confront her even as she attempted to avoid a fight. Lisa said other people initially held the woman back, but the confrontation continued as Lisa tried to move away from the crowd.
During the encounter, Lisa alleges, the security guard stabbed her. She told FOX 32 that she feared the injury could have been fatal, saying, “I could’ve died.” She also said medical personnel told her the wound could have caused more serious complications if it had been in a different location. No independent medical records confirming those details were publicly available in the reporting reviewed.
Questions remain about what happened before and during the alleged stabbing. FOX 32 reported seeing more than half a dozen surveillance cameras mounted outside the club, but it was not clear whether the cameras were operating at the time or whether investigators had obtained video. Publicly available information also did not establish whether the woman accused by Lisa was employed by the club or working there in another capacity.
The City of Chicago Heights declined a request from FOX 32 for police reports and additional information. The city’s corporation counsel said the request could not be fulfilled because the matter was still a recent and active investigation. Officials did not release a police narrative or identify the person Lisa accused.
As of the latest available reporting Thursday, authorities had not publicly announced an arrest or criminal charges in connection with the incident. Lisa said she had not received an update from police and wanted the person she accused held accountable. Her allegation has not been tested in court, and authorities have not publicly confirmed the identity of any suspect.
The club had not publicly responded to questions reported by FOX 32 about the incident, its security staff or whether surveillance footage was available. The investigation remains open, and further details about possible evidence, arrests or charges had not been released as of Friday.
