WEST MIAMI-DADE, FL – A seemingly ordinary night out took a dramatic turn, leading to allegations of theft and drugging. A 26-year-old woman is now facing serious charges after reportedly swiping thousands of dollars in valuables from a man she met at a local nightclub.
The suspect appeared before a Miami-Dade judge, accused of burglary and grand theft after an incident on the 11th of this month. The victim claims his apartment was ransacked, resulting in the loss of over $25,000 worth of items.
According to arrest documents, the woman and another female acquaintance met the victim at Koko Nightclub. The evening progressed, and they decided to pick up Jamaican food before returning to his residence.
Once there, the victim consumed a bottle of iced tea, after which he began feeling unusually fatigued and drowsy. He chose to lie down, while the women remained in the living room.
Upon waking, the victim discovered the women had vanished, along with his iPhone, a Rolex watch, a Cuban link chain, cologne bottles, IDs, bank cards, and other possessions.
The suspect’s escape was short-lived, as the victim had registered her vehicle’s license plate at his home. This information led police to her arrest. She declined to speak with authorities, opting instead for legal counsel.
The judge found probable cause for the grand theft charge, setting her bond at $75,000. Although she has posted bond, she remains in custody.
This case continues to unfold, with more developments expected as the investigation progresses.
