Wanted predator found hiding in hotel attic

Matthew J. Casterline, a 47-year-old man from Upstate New York, has been taken into custody under the charges of numerous child sex crimes.

Casterline was discovered concealed in a hotel attic, as announced by state troopers on Tuesday.

Casterline was found on May 5th in the attic of a Best Western hotel, situated on Hickories Park Road in Owego, Tioga County. Interestingly, it was revealed that Casterline had been employed at the same hotel he was discovered in.

The charges against Casterline are grave. New York Troopers had issued a warrant for his arrest for first-degree sexual abuse. However, his alleged criminal activities extended beyond state borders.

In Sayre, Pennsylvania, the suspect was wanted for an astonishing 400 counts of sexual offenses against a minor. This Pennsylvanian borough, located near the New York border, is just 18 miles from Elmira and 30 miles from Binghamton.

Upon discovery, Casterline was promptly arrested and transported to Tioga County Jail, where he is slated for arraignment.
