U.S. Marshals offer $15K reward for three men wanted in shooting of 13-year-old

GRESHAM, OR – Authorities have announced a reward for information leading to the arrest of three suspects in connection with the tragic death of 13-year-old Liam Spanley Bailey. Bailey was killed by gunfire that pierced the walls of his apartment from a neighboring unit on April 27. That day, he was preparing for a snowboarding trip with his family, a plan that was shattered by a sudden act of violence.

During a press briefing on Thursday, officials urged the public to help locate Anthony Hunter, Xavier Hirsch, and Terrell Coy. The U.S. Marshals Service is offering $15,000 for information that leads to their capture.

“If you have any information, please come forward,” urged officials. “Your courage could help bring justice to Liam’s family.”

Multnomah County District Attorney Nathan Vasquez warned that anyone assisting these suspects could face felony charges. “If you are hiding them or aiding them, you will be prosecuted,” Vasquez stated.

Anthony Hunter, 21, is one of the individuals sought by police. He has a history of gun-related offenses. An affidavit reveals that in June 2023, Hunter was caught on surveillance cameras stealing nearly $400 in ammunition from a local store. He was found with a loaded, concealed weapon at the time of his arrest, and the case remains open.

Investigators have not yet disclosed the motive behind the shooting that claimed Bailey’s life, but it remains a primary focus of their investigation. The community and Bailey’s family are calling for justice.

Police are appealing to anyone with knowledge of the suspects’ whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers or the Gresham Police Department.
