Texas teen involved in truck crash covered in blood not belonging to him

FORT WORTH, TX – An 18-year-old Texas teenager was discovered by deputies this week, drenched in blood inside a wrecked pickup truck, leaving investigators puzzled as the blood did not belong to him. The incident occurred Monday night off Interstate 20 in Fort Worth, where deputies responded to reports of a vehicle accident.

Deputies found Aaron Richard sitting in his white 1997 Chevrolet pickup, which bore significant damage to the driver’s side door, tailgate, and front left quarter panel. According to a statement from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle and Richard were both covered in a substantial amount of dried blood.

Despite the alarming scene, Richard remained tight-lipped and uncooperative when questioned about the blood’s origin. He was wearing a Walmart Auto Care Center work shirt with a name tag that read “Anthony.” Investigators noted blood streaks along the driver’s side A-frame and the outside of the truck bed.

Authorities were taken aback upon discovering that the blood did not belong to Richard and was unrelated to the crash. Richard was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated and taken to the Lon Evans Correctional Center. He was later released on a $500 bond as the investigation continues.

The sheriff’s office has yet to disclose whether the individual whose blood was found is deceased or still at risk. The circumstances surrounding Richard’s crash remain unclear, adding another layer of mystery to the case.

Adding to the intrigue, it was reported that Richard is currently serving six months probation for a disorderly conduct charge in Haltom City, a nearby suburb of Fort Worth. Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in uncovering the source of the blood and the events leading up to the crash.
