SACRAMENTO, CA – A stabbing incident that took place over the weekend near the Tower Bridge in Sacramento resulted in the death of Kirill Trush, a 16-year-old sophomore at the Center High School in Antelope. The information has been validated by several sources, including close friends, family, and the Yolo County Coroner.
Both school staff and students who knew Trush, who had been in the district since kindergarten, confirmed his identity. Jeremiah Patterson, a friend of Trush, lamented the tragedy, expressing their shock at the loss of the teenager.
The fatal incident reportedly occurred on the evening of Saturday, April 20, at Sacramento’s famous Tower Bridge. It is here that police discovered Trush’s body, bearing multiple stab wounds. Prior to the fatal stabbing, a fight is believed to have ensued.
Patterson offered a heart-wrenching account of Trush’s ordeal, stating, “A situation that he was in that he didn’t want to be in led to the worst.” In a letter to parents, Center High School expressed condolences and affirmed the availability of grief counseling services. A letter from the West Sacramento police urged any individuals with video footage of the fight or who had seen it happen to step forward.
Many of Trush’s friends are grappling with his sudden loss. Maddie Howes, a friend, expressed her difficulty coming to terms with the reality of his death.
