Shooting breaks out on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Early Sunday morning, a shooting on the Hollywood Walk of Fame left two individuals hospitalized. This incident marks the second shooting incident in Hollywood within two consecutive nights.

The violent event occurred around 1 a.m. at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Wilcox Avenue, in front of a 7-Eleven convenience store. According to the police, six individuals exited a vehicle near the store, and one person proceeded to open fire. After the shooting, the group reentered the vehicle and fled the scene.

Authorities discovered a 43-year-old man outside of the store who suffered from gunshot wounds to his head and back. A 28-year-old woman was found inside the store, having been shot in the leg. Both of the victims were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Video footage from the scene depicts paramedics attending to a victim on the sidewalk as police set up crime scene tape and searched the surrounding area for leads and potential suspects.

This incident occurred just 24 hours after a separate shooting at a popular Hollywood nightclub, and it is the second shooting on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the last 10 days, following a previous shooting on April 15.
