Quadruple shooting at apartment leaves 3 dead

SNELLVILLE, GA – A domestic disturbance call to an apartment in unincorporated Snellville escalated into a double murder-suicide incident. At around 1 a.m., police officers arrived at The Views at Jacks Creek apartments to find two men and two women suffering from gunshot wounds. According to Gwinnett police, one woman and both men succumbed to their injuries, while the other woman was hospitalized but is expected to survive.

While the motive behind the incident is still under investigation, authorities believe one of the deceased males to be the shooter. This marks the second shooting within two weeks at The Views at Jacks Creek, and residents are growing increasingly concerned about safety in the area.

The victims of the deadly shooting have been identified as Snellville residents Corey Jones, 52, and his wife, Dana Farmer, 56, who lived in the apartment. The alleged shooter was Frank Wilburn Jr., 27, from Loganville.

Gwinnett County Police Corporal Juan Madiedo shared that the surviving woman and Wilburn were believed to be in a relationship and had a court hearing scheduled for later in the day.

Police also found a two-month-old girl and a 46-year-old woman in the apartment at the time of the shooting, neither of whom were injured. As the investigation continues, authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Gwinnett County Police Department or to submit an anonymous tip by contacting Crime Stoppers.
