HIALEAH, FL – A violent incident that began with a stabbing spree early Wednesday morning has left one person dead and two others injured in a Hialeah home. Authorities responded to the scene around 4:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a disturbance at a residence near West 43rd Place and Fifth Court.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a chaotic and bloody scene. One victim was found outside the home with apparent stab wounds, while two additional victims were located inside. The victims have been identified as members of the same family: Marielena Gonzalez, her daughter Amanda Gonzalez, 17, and her mother, Rosa Gonzalez.
Police confronted the suspected attacker inside the home. The suspect, who was armed, was shot and killed by officers during the confrontation. The identities of the victims were confirmed by family friends who rushed to the scene and later to the hospital to check on the survivors.
Alberto Rodriguez, a close family friend, expressed his disbelief and sorrow over the incident. “It’s very bad, very bad. I’m so sad,” Rodriguez said, adding that he was trying to find ways to support the grieving family during this tragic time.
Emergency responders transported the injured victims to a nearby hospital, where they are currently receiving medical treatment. The condition of the survivors has not been disclosed, but authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack.
