Police searching for 12-year-old boy after he allegedly stabbed his sister

HOUSTON, TX – Police are actively searching for a 12-year-old boy accused of stabbing his 13-year-old sister at their home before fleeing the scene. The incident occurred Friday evening at the Park at North Vista Apartments, situated on North Vista Drive near the North Freeway.

The girl, who sustained a stab wound to her side, is expected to recover, according to authorities. The motive behind the altercation remains unclear, though it is believed to be part of an ongoing feud between the siblings.

Law enforcement, including precinct constables, deployed drones in a thorough search of the apartment complex but have yet to locate the boy. A neighbor described the scene, recounting her rush outside upon hearing sirens and witnessing the girl being bandaged by officers.

The neighbor, who often saw the girl petting her dog, comforted the wounded child by holding her hand until paramedics arrived. “It’s instinctual to offer comfort,” she said, reflecting on the emotional moment.

Investigators confirmed a guardian was present during the incident, though details about their involvement remain undisclosed. The boy’s whereabouts are still unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.

Police urge anyone with information to come forward as they continue to search for the young suspect. The community remains on edge as authorities work to resolve the situation.

Updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
