MIAMI BEACH, FL – In an operation that unfolded with the precision of a Hollywood script, Miami Beach police orchestrated a daring rescue of a toddler from a suspected drug den. Authorities devised an unconventional plan to secure the safety of a two-year-old boy who was living amidst potential danger in an apartment described as a “trap house.”
The police department, situated just a short distance from the residence, had been monitoring the building on 11th Street for several months. Reports of constant foot traffic at the apartment, allegedly for drug purchases, raised alarms about the welfare of the child residing there.
To avoid a potentially violent confrontation, detectives and a SWAT team were on standby as law enforcement officials executed their plan. Rather than storming the apartment with guns drawn, officers staged a gas leak evacuation, a ruse designed to safely extract the child without endangering anyone.

The toddler, now in the protective custody of the Department of Children and Families, was unharmed during the operation. Officials expressed relief at the successful execution of the plan, emphasizing the importance of the child’s safety above all else.
