Police find two dead bodies and a wounded son during search for missing father

Authorities in Maricopa County, Arizona, have made a disturbing discovery in the case of a missing man. Chad Holvig, who disappeared in July, has been found with gunshot wounds. However, his father, who is also missing, has not been located. The investigation took a grim turn when two bodies were discovered during the search for the missing men. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the case, which remains in a fluid state.

Chad Holvig was last seen leaving his Tonopah home on July 4th to visit his son, Dalton Holvig. Concern arose when Chad’s family did not hear from him after July 6th, as it was unusual for him to be out of contact for an extended period. Dalton, too, went missing and was last seen by family members on July 10th at his Goodyear home. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation into Chad’s disappearance on July 11th.

During the investigation into Chad’s disappearance, detectives obtained a search warrant for a residential property near Latham Street and 181st Drive in Goodyear. When the warrant was executed, deputies discovered Dalton. It was evident that he had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Additionally, two bodies were found on the property. Two occupants of the residence were arrested and booked on unrelated charges while investigators seized multiple weapons and potential evidence.

The spokesperson for the sheriff’s office confirmed that Dalton is alive, although the extent of his shooting-related injuries has not been disclosed. However, Chad remains missing, and the investigation is ongoing. Further details will continue to be provided as the investigation progresses.

Investigators will likely explore any potential connections between the missing father and son and the individuals arrested at the residence. The search for Chad Holvig remains a top priority, and law enforcement agencies are urging anyone with information to come forward.
