A 29-year-old man, licensed to carry a firearm, shot and killed a thief attempting to steal his Honda while he was at an ATM. The thief, a 48-year-old man, was struck in the head and later died from his injuries.
The chaotic scene erupted as the thief tried to drive away in the stolen vehicle. The car crashed in front of the SEPTA Frankford Transportation Center, where police quickly responded. Surveillance footage captured the intense moments as officers rushed the injured man to the hospital.
