One teen killed two others injured in robbery

FORT WORTH, TX – A quiet Christmas Eve in a Fort Worth neighborhood turned tragic when a 17-year-old was fatally shot during an attempted armed robbery. Two other individuals were wounded in the incident, which unfolded in the West Fork Ranch area, leaving the community in shock.

The shooting occurred just before 3 p.m. as families were gathered at home for holiday celebrations. Amanda Fisher, a local resident, recalled hearing three loud bangs while her family was having dinner. When she rushed outside, she noticed someone running across the nearby park, although the details were still unclear.

Police are actively investigating the situation, seeking to piece together the events that led to this deadly encounter. According to authorities, both the victims and the suspects were involved in the exchange of gunfire, but the exact motive behind the robbery attempt remains undisclosed. As of now, no arrests have been made.

The body of Jacqueline Houston, the 17-year-old victim, was found a few blocks away from the initial scene on Brenda Drive. It remains uncertain how Houston ended up there, whether he fled on foot or was transported by someone else. This lingering question adds another layer of mystery to the already puzzling case.

The West Fork Ranch neighborhood, typically a place where teenagers gather and enjoy the local park, is now grappling with the gravity of the incident. Fisher noted that seeing kids hang out at the park is a common sight, but never did she expect such a tragic event to unfold so close to home.

The impact of the shooting reverberates beyond the immediate victims, affecting families and the community at large. Fisher’s parents expressed their empathy for the families who have lost a loved one and those dealing with injuries, especially during what is supposed to be a joyful time of year.

As the investigation continues, authorities are interviewing everyone involved and working to learn more about the two additional victims who were hospitalized. The community remains on edge, hoping for answers and justice for the young life lost.
