New Father Shot to Death While Trying to Sell His Car

A tragic incident occurred when a new father was fatally shot on Friday afternoon.

A flipped car was spotted in a ravine near the park pool, surrounded by rescue crews. Before ending up in the ravine, the car had collided with playground equipment.

Two vehicles were involved in the event. Atlanta police officers discovered a man shot inside a vehicle down the embankment, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to family members, 31-year-old Owen Jackson was attempting to sell his car when the buyer attacked him. Lamont Adrien, Jackson’s longtime best friend, expressed his shock and disbelief at the incident.

Jackson, a mechanic and car enthusiast, was allegedly targeted by the shooter in an attempted car theft. Although the car was not stolen, Jackson was fatally shot.

The victim had recently celebrated his 31st birthday and the birth of his child. He also celebrated an anniversary with his girlfriend the night before the shooting.

In the aftermath of the incident, crews carefully removed one of the vehicles from the embankment. Police closed off a large portion of the park to conduct their investigation. As of now, no arrests have been made and a description of a potential shooter has not been provided. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
