PLAINSBORO, NJ – A shocking incident has unfolded in Plainsboro, New Jersey, where a family of four was found dead in their home. After they were all discovered, authorities began a homicide investigation into the incident. The victims, Taj Pratap Singh, 43, his wife Sonal Parihar, 42, and their two children, were discovered in their Titus Lane house around 4:30 p.m. The cause of their deaths remains unknown, with authorities exploring all avenues, including the possibility of a murder-suicide.
The family’s blue suburban home was sealed off with crime scene tape as investigators from the Plainsboro Police Department and the Middlesex County Prosecutors Office delved into the case. The tragic discovery was made following a welfare check requested by a worried relative.
The sudden and tragic loss has left the family’s relatives and the wider community in a state of shock. Family members, who congregated outside the house, remembered Singh and Parihar as a ‘joyful couple.’ Both were employed in the IT industry, with one also working in HR. Singh, the father, held a position as a Lead APIX Engineer at Ness Digital Engineering, according to his LinkedIn page.
Singh was a well-known figure in his community and was actively involved in the Parent-Teacher Association at his children’s school. Superintendent David Aderhold of the West-Windsor Plainsboro district expressed his deep condolences over the incident, mentioning that it involved a family with children at Wicoff and Millstone River Schools.
According to property records, the couple had acquired their Titus Lane residence in August 2018 for $635,000.
