Man Zip-Tied And Set On Fire In Carjacking

Earlier this week, two men allegedly zip-tied and set on fire a California man who helped a seemingly stranded woman on the side of a road in Northern California, police said.

On a road about 40 miles north of Sacramento, the two men stepped out of the woman’s black SUV after she flagged down the victim. They held him at gunpoint before restraining him and throwing gasoline on him.

Southwest of Yuba City was the site of the incident.

In order to put out the fire, the victim rolled on the ground and called 911. His car was located a few miles away with a replica gun inside.

His condition is unknown, but he was treated for burns at the hospital.

There have been no arrests. The victim said his attackers appeared to be of Middle Eastern descent, but no description of them has been released.
