Man killed in execution-style shooting at Chinese takeout restaurant

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A Chinese takeout restaurant in Philadelphia’s Kensington area was the scene of a gruesome, execution-style shooting that took place late Monday evening. The incident unfolded at Kitchen Express on the 700 block of East Ontario Street.

The victim of the deadly shooting has been identified as a 27-year-old man. His killer reportedly pursued him before the 27-year-old was shot multiple times.

According to police, the assailant fired at the victim while chasing him down the street on foot. The victim attempted to take refuge inside of the restaurant to escape the gunfire. However, the suspect tracked him down and followed him inside.

Surveillance footage captured a disturbing moment of the suspect’s pursuit of his victim. The assailant was seen standing over the victim and relentlessly shooting him as he lay face-down on the restaurant floor.

The victim sustained gunshot wounds all over his body and was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. After the shooting took place, the assailant made a swift getaway in what eyewitnesses described as a red SUV, possibly a Kia vehicle.

Local law enforcement is appealing to anyone with additional information to come forward as investigations into this brutal homicide continue.
