Man found shot to death after crashing car into house

BROWNSBURG, IN – A man lost his life in a peculiar chain of events that unfolded on Tuesday afternoon in the Eagle Crossing neighborhood of Brownsburg, just over the Hendricks/Marion county line. The man was found shot to death in a car that had crashed into a house on the 10300 block of Memorial Knoll Drive.

Responding to a call that was initially classified as an accident at roughly 4:38 p.m., deputies from the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office soon realized the situation was more dire. The call was upgraded to a shooting incident as they arrived at the scene and discovered a vehicle crashed into a house.

In the wreckage of the four-door passenger car, deputies found an unidentified driver with at least one gunshot wound. The man was the only person inside the vehicle. He was declared dead at the incident site, stated the sheriff’s department.

The Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office confirms that despite the violent crash, none of the numerous residents in the house at the time of the accident were injured.
