Man arrested after he shoots his two-year-old son

On a chilling Sunday night in St. Petersburg, a 2-year-old son became the victim of a tragic incident involving his father, 22-year-old Aaron Creary.

Reports say that law enforcement officers of the St. Petersburg Police Department arrived at a residence located on 15th Avenue South at 8:10 p.m. and discovered that Creary had threatened to use a gun while arguing with someone, which he eventually fired and struck his young son Armani.

Following the tragedy, Creary panicked and tried to take Armani to a hospital, but unfortunately lost control of the car while driving and crashed into a parked vehicle.

It was too late when Armani was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, as doctors were only able to announce his death.

Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office records show that he was apprehended by the St. Petersburg PD and served with a $750,000 bond. He is currently facing criminal charges of aggravated manslaughter of a child.

The St. Petersburg PD is currently conducting an investigation of the incident and is encouraging anyone who may have any pertinent information to come forward.
