Man and woman arrested on long list of charges following intense police chase

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Authorities in Bexar County have arrested two individuals following a brief but intense pursuit involving a stolen vehicle. The suspects, identified as Christa Ju Ledge and Richard Said, were apprehended earlier this week after a series of events that began with a traffic stop attempt by sheriff’s deputies.

The incident unfolded on a Wednesday afternoon when deputies attempted to stop a stolen Kia. The driver, however, refused to comply, leading officers on a short chase. The pursuit was eventually called off due to safety concerns, but the vehicle was later located by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO).

After tracking the stolen car, deputies discovered Ledge and Said hiding under a house. Both suspects were taken into custody without further incident. They are now facing a multitude of charges, including unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, among other alleged offenses.

The arrest of these individuals was part of a broader effort by local law enforcement to tackle a growing list of outstanding warrants. “Our deputies acted swiftly and diligently to ensure the safety of the community,” a spokesperson for the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office stated.

This case highlights the ongoing challenges law enforcement faces with vehicle theft and evasion. The BCSO has been actively collaborating with other agencies to address these issues, employing both traditional methods and modern technology to track and apprehend suspects.

The swift resolution of this case underscores the importance of community cooperation and vigilant policing. Residents are encouraged to report suspicious activities and assist law enforcement in maintaining public safety.

As the investigation continues, authorities are reviewing the circumstances surrounding the theft of the vehicle and any potential connections to other crimes. The suspects remain in custody, with court dates pending.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office continues to stress the importance of community involvement and awareness. They urge citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to help prevent future incidents.
