Las Vegas neighborhood shooting sends 3 to hospital

An altercation between two neighbors in a Westside neighborhood of Las Vegas resulted in gunfire on Tuesday, resulting in the detainment of one person and the injury of three others.

At 1:36 p.m., police received a call about the dispute, and when they arrived, shots were heard. Subsequently, three people were taken to local hospitals, while the individual believed to be responsible was taken into custody.

Furthermore, two nearby schools were placed on lockdown until further notice, but authorities later stated that there is no further threat to public safety.

A parent at Matt Kelly Elementary school, Maria Flores, was anxious when she received texts alerts about a lockdown.

She said, “I thought it was a shooting in the school not next to the school, but it’s almost the same thing because they could jump and they could go into the classrooms.”

Police later confirmed the shooting was a resault of a dispute between neighbors and no threat to children in the nearby school existed.
