LANCASTER, CA – A violent rampage erupted in Lancaster Wednesday evening, resulting in two fatalities and five injuries. The shooting was confirmed by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD). The incident marks the fourth shooting in Lancaster within two days, leading to a total of four deaths this week in the area.
The shooting took place around 6 p.m. on Avenue J-12. Deputies discovered two men with gunshot wounds, who, despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, were pronounced dead from their injuries.
Subsequently, several reports about gunshot victims had flooded the emergency room of a local hospital. The authorities found an additional five gunshot victims, who were reported to be stable by hospital staff.
The LASD asserts that the victims had all been present at the location during the onset of the shooting. Preliminary investigations indicate that the shooting might be gang-related. However, detectives are still endeavoring to identify the suspects involved.
On Tuesday, three separate shooting incidents in Lancaster had led to two fatalities. The authorities have not confirmed whether all shootings are interconnected.
