Fugitive Suspected Of Murdering Couple Is Arrested In Florida

Christopher Keeley, suspected in a brutal double murder in Marshfield, Massachusettes, was arrested in Miami Beach on Saturday night.

A return date to Massachusetts hasn’t been announced.

Since Wednesday, police have been searching for 27-year-old Keeley, who was considered armed and dangerous.

A well-being check for Carl and Vicki Mattson on Gotham Hill Drive led officers to find them dead on Nov. 29. Both were stabbed and bludgeoned, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz. On Wednesday, Vicki Mattson would have turned 71. Carl Mattson was 70.

A police warrant records Keeley as an acquaintance of the couple who lived at the home from time to time.

After police arrived to conduct a well-being check, Cruz said the Mattsons were found dead.

“This does not appear to be a random act of violence,” Cruz said, noting that Keeley was an acquaintance of the couple. “This appears to be a targeted attack against these two individuals.”

Marshfield Police say Keeley “had altered [his] appearance by dying [his] hair red and goes by the name Crispy.”
