Four people dead after late-night neighborhood shooting

NASHVILLE, TN – A late-night shooting in the Antioch neighborhood left three men dead on Bart Drive, Metro Nashville Police Department confirmed. Officers arrived at the scene slightly after 11:11 p.m. on Friday and found the heartbreaking scene. First, they discovered a deceased male on the front porch. Upon going inside, the officers found two additional men deceased.

Surveillance cameras in the vicinity captured two of the victims and a female companion arriving at the house earlier at about 10:35 p.m., in a white Honda with temporary Georgia tags. Roughly an hour later, an armed group of people approached the house on foot. The shooting incident lasted around a minute total. It ended with the suspects fleeing, likely to a nearby waiting vehicle.

Speculations are that the woman who was seen earlier might have escaped on foot during the incident.

An anonymous resident recounted the horrifying events of the evening. They narrated how they were simply enjoying their time at home in front of the television when the sound of gunfire startled them. As per their estimate, eight to ten shots rang out, shaking the usually quiet neighborhood.

Shortly after responding to the Bart Drive incident, Nashville Police were called to a different scene on Wallace Drive. There, they found a gunshot victim, who claimed to have been shot while riding a bicycle near the site of the previous incident. The victim was promptly transported to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, with an investigation underway to establish if the incidents were related.

As of now, the motivation behind the Bart Drive shooting remains unknown. Initially, four deaths had been reported, but Metro Nashville Police Department’s Public Information Officer, Don Aaron, later revised the number down to three.
