Five young people shot at late night gathering

ORT PIERCE, Fla. – A late-night gathering turned violent early Saturday morning, leaving five individuals, including three minors, with gunshot wounds in Fort Pierce, according to local authorities.

Police responded to the scene on the 1800 block of Avenue G at 12:23 a.m. after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers discovered five victims suffering from gunshot wounds. All were transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, officials said.

The ages of those injured ranged from 15 to 20 years old, with three of the victims being under the age of 18. The incident has left the community shaken, as authorities work to piece together the events that led to the shooting.

As of now, Fort Pierce police have not disclosed any information regarding potential suspects or the possible motive behind the attack. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
