Five people shot after parking argument

DETROIT, MI – A trivial argument over a parking spot spiraled into a violent confrontation outside a Detroit bar, leaving five individuals injured. The incident, which took place at Chicago Blu’z Bar & Grill in the wee hours of Friday, was confirmed by Assistant Police Chief Charles Fitzgerald of the Detroit Police Department.

Fitzgerald expressed his dismay over the senseless violence, finding it absurd that a parking dispute could lead to such a calamity. The situation took a dark turn when one of the disputants drew a firearm and started shooting indiscriminately into the crowd.

The victims, ranging in age from 33 to 49, were seriously injured but are expected to recover. Only one of the victims was part of the original dispute, while the others were unfortunate bystanders who got caught in the chaos.

The shooter, a male, managed to escape and was still at large as of Friday evening. He was last seen leaving the scene in a dark-colored SUV.

The police department is also probing why the bar was open at 2:45 a.m., a time when it should have been closed. The public is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP with any information about the incident.
