Five injured in shootout at takeout restaurant

PHILADELPHIA, PA – In the Grays Ferry neighborhood of Philadelphia, an alarming shootout at a Chinese takeout restaurant resulted in five injuries, authorities revealed. The chaotic incident took place on Monday night around 10:30 p.m. at a restaurant located at 27th and Dickinson Streets.

The gunfight, horrifyingly, saw more than 40 rounds being fired, as per police data. Among the affected, a 45-year-old man was rushed from the incident site by the police due to gunshot injuries in the leg. Three other victims, a 23-year-old and two 21-year-olds, independently sought medical help at Penn Presbyterian Hospital. In addition, another 21-year-old man was transported to Cooper Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey.

The police have identified one of the injured individuals as a potential shooter and are currently treating him as a suspect in the case. An extended magazine semi-automatic firearm was also retrieved from the scene. Moreover, according to the authorities, surveillance cameras in the vicinity managed to capture the worrying gunfight.

Shell casings were discovered in places where restaurant patrons were waiting for their orders, indicating both indoor and outdoor areas were involved in the shooting.
