Ex-Boyfriend Arrested for Murder of Missing Maryland Woman

Authorities have arrested Francisco Ramon Lara Garcia, 30, of Rockville, and charged him with the murder of his ex-girlfriend, Keylin Yolibeth Chavez-Dominguez.

Chavez-Dominguez, 20, was last seen alive on December 30, 2022, and her body was found in late January 2023 in the Upper Paint Branch Stream Valley Park. The cause and manner of her death are still being investigated.

Lara Garcia, who was also living with Chavez-Dominguez at the time of her disappearance, was arrested on February 1, 2023, in Kirkwood, Missouri. He is awaiting extradition back to Maryland, where he is being charged with first-degree murder.

Chavez-Dominguez was last seen at her apartment on December 30, 2022, around 6 p.m., and was reported missing on January 2.

A witness claims to have seen her leaving the apartment complex on New Year’s Eve accompanied by a Hispanic man. However, authorities have yet not confirmed whether the man was in fact Lara Garcia.
