PLEASANT HILL, CA – A gruesome discovery unfolded early on Saturday morning when a man with fatal stab injuries was found dead. His body was located in the main parking lot of Pleasant Hill Park, according to reports from local police.
The incident came to light around 4:50 a.m., when authorities including Pleasant Hill police, were alerted about an unconscious, unresponsive individual in the park’s parking lot at 147 Gregory Lane. Upon their arrival, the authorities determined that the man was deceased with multiple stab wounds.
The deceased individual was later identified as Santiago Jacobo, a 37-year-old Pittsburg resident and janitorial staff member at the park, who was reported to have been working late before his untimely demise.
The unsettling discovery was made by Jacobo’s wife, who started looking for him after he did not return from work and subsequently called 911. As the investigation continues, Jacobo’s grieving family is assisting the police by providing relevant insight and information for the case.
