Construction accident leaves 1 worker dead, 2 injured

PHILADELPHIA, PA – In a fatal accident that took place in West Philadelphia, a boom lift tipped over onto a work truck. This occurrence led to the death of a 47-year-old worker. Additionally, the collision between the boom lift and the work truck resulted in two other workers being severely injured.

The accident happened in the afternoon on Moravian Street, near 45th Street. The yellow lift collapsed, consequently denting a white work truck. As the lift fell, it led to three workers plummeting a vertical distance equal to two floors.

After the deadly crash, medical responders transported the three workers to hospitals in the locality. The 47-year-old worker ultimately succumbed to his injuries, while the other two workers are considered to be in a critical state.

Tarek, an eyewitness to the incident, noticed the workers on the ground following the crash of the lift. He ensured that no further harm came to the victims by preventing others from meddling until professional help arrived.

Another individual who witnessed the horrifying accident, Henry, observed the unsure footing of the cherry picker. Still, authorities are yet to confirm the actual cause of the crane’s collapse. Investigations into this tragic accident are still ongoing.
