WEST MEMPHIS, AR – An investigation is underway in Crittenden County after a body was discovered in a field by city workers on Monday morning. The workers, who were mowing grass along Waverly Road, made the grim discovery just after 7 a.m.

Residents in the area, like Glenn Kelleher, were taken aback by the sudden presence of law enforcement and crime scene units. Kelleher, who was on his way to drop off his grandchildren at school, witnessed the authorities covering the body with a white sheet.
Witnesses reported seeing the man walking in the area on Saturday, but no immediate signs of foul play were evident. The man was found with his hands tied above his waist, although there were no visible marks or trauma on his body.
