Carjackers steal car with toddler inside

SUN VALLEY, CA – A mother’s worst nightmare turned into a heartfelt reunion when Los Angeles police rescued a one-year-old boy abducted during a car theft. The incident unfolded at a local grocery store, where the family’s Nissan Rogue was stolen with the child, Elijah, still inside.

Sky Fox captured the emotional moment when LAPD officers returned Elijah to his distraught mother. Overwhelmed with relief, she clutched her son tightly, tears streaming down her face. The grandmother, who identified the baby as Elijah, was also present, visibly shaken by the ordeal.

Witnesses reported seeing the suspects abandon the baby on Peoria Street before speeding away in the stolen vehicle. A gardener working nearby noticed the child and immediately alerted a woman at a nearby house. The woman, who preferred to remain anonymous, recounted how the gardener knocked on her door, seeking help for the abandoned baby.

Authorities quickly responded to the scene, gathering eyewitness accounts and piecing together the events leading up to the theft. The suspects, described as two thin men, remain at large, and the stolen Nissan Rogue has yet to be recovered.

Family members flocked to the grocery store to support the mother, who, understandably, declined to speak to the media. The family expressed their gratitude for Elijah’s safe return but requested privacy to process the traumatic event.

As the investigation continues, police urge anyone with information about the suspects or the stolen vehicle to come forward. For now, the family is focused on healing and cherishing Elijah’s safe return.
