Brother Hides His Sister’s Dead Body Inside His Home

Mark Winters, 76, of Westwood, New Jersey, has been arrested and charged with desecrating human remains and aggravated assault on law enforcement officers. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit launched an investigation with the Westwood Police Department following a welfare check at Winters’ home on February 13.

Upon entering the residence, officers discovered the deceased remains of Joan Winters, 70, who lived there with her brother.

According to reports, Mark Winters became aggressive and assaulted the officers after they discovered his sister’s remains.
