Body Found in River in Search for Missing British Mother

Police searching for Nicola Bulley, a 45-year-old mother of two who went missing on January 27, have found a body in the River Wyre near Rawcliffe Road.

Although formal identification has not been made, Bulley’s family has been informed of the development. Bulley was last seen walking her dog on a path by the river, and her cellphone was found on a nearby bench still connected to a work conference call.

A dive team ended its involvement in the search on February 8 after searching roughly three miles of the river with sonar equipment but finding nothing.

Peter Faulding, who led the search, said his team had done all it could. Leanne Grace, a close friend of Bulley, has insisted that there is “no evidence” to support the theory that Bulley fell into the river and has asked police to consider other angles.
