Actor from ‘Fast and Furious’ charged with animal cruelty

ATLANTA, GA – Actor Tyrese Gibson is facing charges of misdemeanor animal cruelty after his four Cane Corso dogs reportedly attacked and killed a King Charles Cavalier spaniel named Henry in a Buckhead neighborhood. The incident, which occurred two weeks ago, has left Henry’s owner devastated and seeking justice.

Police reports indicate that Gibson’s dogs had been roaming the neighborhood on multiple occasions over the past five months. The tragic event was captured on Ring doorbell footage, showing the dogs barking and growling just moments before attacking Henry. The spaniel suffered broken ribs and severe internal injuries.

In response to the incident, the dogs are set to be relocated to a new home in middle Georgia. Henry’s owner expressed deep sorrow over the loss, emphasizing the bond they shared and declaring a desire to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

Gibson’s attorney conveyed the actor’s condolences to Henry’s owner and confirmed his full cooperation with the ongoing police investigation. The actor turned himself in to Fulton County Jail early in the morning, posting a $20,000 bond shortly after.

Authorities are still determining when Gibson will make his court appearance. The case has drawn significant public attention, highlighting concerns about pet safety and owner responsibility.

As the investigation continues, the community remains on edge, with many advocating for stricter regulations regarding pet ownership and control. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers posed by unsupervised animals.
