LOS ANGELES, CA – In a harrowing turn of events, Hollywood makeup artist Allie Shehorn, 35, was brutally attacked in her own home on May 23. The alleged assailant, actor Nick Pasqual, 34, was apprehended in Sierra Blanca, Texas, while attempting to flee to Mexico. Pasqual now faces charges of attempted murder, first-degree home invasion, and domestic violence injury, with the potential for a life sentence if convicted.
Shehorn’s ordeal began long before the recent attack. In court documents filed on May 18, she detailed a series of violent incidents allegedly perpetrated by Pasqual. These included being beaten with a belt, choked, and raped. The abuse reportedly escalated over several months, culminating in the horrifying stabbing incident that left Shehorn hospitalized.
Pasqual, who played a minor role in the 2023 film “Rebel Moon,” had a history of violence against Shehorn, according to her application for a domestic violence restraining order. The makeup artist recounted multiple instances of abuse, including an incident on January 29 when Pasqual struck her with a belt, and another on April 14 when he allegedly raped and choked her at an Airbnb.
On May 18, just days before the stabbing, Shehorn described a terrifying episode where Pasqual allegedly became enraged in the early hours of the morning. He reportedly slapped her, pulled her hair, and caused her to hit her head on the floor. Shehorn sought refuge in a friend’s bedroom, but Pasqual allegedly forced his way in, resulting in further injury.
Following the May 23 attack, Pasqual was arrested and charged with a felony but was released on bond the same day. Despite a temporary restraining order granted on May 20, the violence continued, leading to the near-fatal stabbing. Pasqual’s prior criminal record includes DUI convictions from 2013 and 2014.
Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón expressed his support for Shehorn, emphasizing the importance of holding Pasqual accountable. “Our office, including our Bureau of Victim Services, extends our support and resources to her as she embarks on the long and difficult journey of healing from both the physical and emotional trauma inflicted upon her,” Gascón said.
Shehorn is currently recovering in the hospital, with her friend Christine White, 62, who also lives in the home, stating that Shehorn is in “good spirits.” A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help cover Shehorn’s mounting medical expenses, with White credited for acting quickly to save her friend’s life.
